Mathieu Luyckx is a gynaecological oncology specialist and an oncological pelvic surgeon. His PhD dissertation focused on improving the survival of ovarian cancer patients. He is the co-founder of UNGO (UCL Network of Gynecologic Oncology) to improve the quality of care for ovarian cancer. He is currently associate head of the gynaecology and andrology department at the St Luc University Clinics (UCL). He is specialised in complex pelvic surgery and gynaecological oncological surgery, with a focus on endometrial cancer , ovarian cancer, and cervical cancer.
He is a member of several Belgian and international networks, including BGOG (Belgian Gynaecology and Oncology Group), ESGO (where he is also a reviewer of guidelines in pelvic oncology), and GGOLFB Onco-pelvis Group.
